Installation of a Water Supply Pipeline to Serve Major Developments West of Limassol (Trachoni, Asomatos, and Tserkez Tsiflik)
- Contractor: CYFIELD CONSTRUCTION – CYFIELD ENGINEERING JV
- Contract Amount: €5,285,000
- Project Scope: The installation of a ductile iron pipeline with a nominal diameter of 600mm and a total length of approximately 8 km.
- Construction Start Date: 4 January 2023
- Estimated Completion Date: April 2025
On 1 July 2024, the Limassol – Asomatos road (from the small roundabout near the casino to Theofilos Georgiadis Street – Waterpark road) was completely closed due to additional works related to the installation of EAC cables next to the EOA Lemesos pipeline. It was deemed necessary to fully close the road as the excavation width increased from 1.30m to 1.90m, leaving insufficient space for the safe passage of vehicles on a single lane. Works on this road were completed in mid-November 2024.
In general, the project is progressing as planned, and all contractual and legal procedures are being followed. Construction works started in January 2023, and according to the latest project data, completion is expected in April 2025.
