The construction works for the installation of a water supply pipeline to serve major developments west of Limassol (Trachoni, Asomatos, and Tserkez Tsifliki) have been completed.
The project involved the installation of a ductile iron (DI) pipeline with a nominal diameter of 600 mm and a total length of approximately 8 km. The works began on January 4, 2023, and were completed on June 18, 2025.
As part of the contract, all necessary asphalt repairs were carried out, including the complete resurfacing of the Limassol–Asomatos road. The high quality of the construction works resulted in a substantial improvement of the road infrastructure compared to its previous condition, contributing to enhanced road safety and improved service for both residents and visitors to the area.

The construction of a water supply pipeline to serve major developments west of Limassol is progressing as scheduled and the works are almost completed.
The remaining works include the installation of 260 metres of pipeline on Konstantinou & Euripidou Street and Odysseas Georgiou Street in Trachoni.
The installation of the pipelines on the Limassol – Asomatos road has been completed, and the hydrostatic tests were successfully carried out. The only remaining task is the collection of asphalt core samples for quality control. Once these tests are successfully completed, final asphalting will proceed along the entire length of the road.
Based on the current project status, construction is expected to be completed by June 2025.

On 1 July 2024, the Limassol – Asomatos road (from the small roundabout near the casino to Theofilos Georgiadis Street – Waterpark road) was completely closed due to additional works related to the installation of EAC cables next to the EOA Lemesos pipeline. It was deemed necessary to fully close the road as the excavation width increased from 1.30m to 1.90m, leaving insufficient space for the safe passage of vehicles on a single lane. Works on this road were completed in mid-November 2024.
In general, the project is progressing as planned, and all contractual and legal procedures are being followed. Construction works started in January 2023, and according to the latest project data, completion is expected in April 2025.
