Announcement No. 8/2025 – Expansion of the Sewerage System in Limassol Areas

The Limassol District Local Government Organisation (LDLGO) informs the public that the contract for the construction of sewerage networks in various areas of Limassol is currently being implemented and progressing as planned. The contract, awarded to Wade Adams Co. Cyprus, has a total value of €3,223,555.

This contract involves the construction of a sewerage network in areas where technical challenges had previously prevented its development under past contracts. The affected areas include:

  • Mesa Yitonia
  • Ayios Athanasios
  • Limassol
  • Yermasogia (YER1)
  • Loukis Akritas Street (Yermasogia area)
  • Griva Digeni Street (Ayios Tychonas area)
  • Ilias Kannaourou Street (Kato Polemidia Municipality)
  • Evrou Street (Ayios Tychonas area)

In Ayios Tychonas, Ayios Athanasios, and Ayia Fyla, the sewerage system will be connected through the construction of small pumping stations.

Contract Scope

The project includes:

  • Approximately 13 km of gravity pipelines
  • Public manholes
  • Household connections
  • 315 metres of pressurised pipelines

The new network will serve approximately 800 properties and 5,000 residents.

During construction works in Ayios Tychonas, archaeological findings were discovered, specifically a water conduit from the ancient Amathus Aqueduct.

The project started in April 2024 and is expected to be completed in April 2026.
