The construction of all Water Reservoirs is funded entirely by EOA Limassol.
Projects Already Completed
The following water reservoirs have already been constructed and are currently within the defects liability period, during which the final minor outstanding works are being carried out:
Sykaminou Area, Agios Athanasios – Capacity: 2,000 m³
Kato Polemidia Area – Capacity: 2,000 m³
Germasogeia Area – Capacity: 4,000 m³
Agia Fyla Area – Capacity: 800 m³
Ongoing Water Reservoir Projects
EOA Limassol continues to invest in modern infrastructure, with the aim of enhancing citizens’ quality of life and ensuring the sustainable management of the district’s water resources.
In this context, tenders have been announced through the Electronic Procurement System (e-Procurement) for:
the construction of two new Water Reservoirs and pumping stations in Mesa Geitonia and Fasoula, each with a capacity of 2,000 m³;
the construction of one Water Reservoir with a capacity of 5,000 m³ in the Paniotis area of Germasogeia.
The construction of the new Reservoirs was deemed necessary for the further strengthening of the water supply network and the improvement of the services provided to consumers. Their development will ensure a continuous and uninterrupted water supply while also meeting the needs of newly developed areas. In this way, citizens will benefit from enhanced reliability and improved water supply services, while the system’s ability to meet increasing water demand will also be secured.
Furthermore, a tender is currently being prepared for the construction of six new Water Reservoirs, each with a capacity of 1,000 m³, of Glass Lined Steel (GLS) type, together with pumping stations, in the areas of Agios Athanasios and Fasoula.
