Construction of a Wastewater Sewerage System in Designated Areas (Small Sewerage Networks)

The Limassol District Local Government Organisation informs the public that works on G. Kalogeropoulou Street and Myrtou Street in Mesa Geitonia are continuing uninterruptedly.

G. Kalogeropoulou Street
The road will be open from 6 August up to and including 23 August, due to the temporary suspension of works for the summer holiday period.
From 24 August onwards, traffic will be regulated through the use of temporary traffic lights, with vehicles travelling in only one traffic lane for a distance of approximately 100 metres, as shown in red on the map.

Myrtou Street
The road will be open from 6 August up to and including 23 August, due to the temporary suspension of works for the summer holiday period.
Works will resume on 24 August in the section outlined in red on the map. Traffic will be regulated through the use of temporary traffic lights, with vehicles travelling in only one traffic lane.
The public is kindly requested to show the necessary understanding and comply with the temporary road signage.
The Organisation will make every possible effort to ensure the smoothest possible execution of the works and minimise any inconvenience.

The construction works for the sewerage network and household connections (Small Networks within the city) are continuing uninterruptedly on G. Kalogeropoullou Street and Myrtou Street in Mesa Geitonia.
On these two roads, works are being carried out with the use of temporary traffic lights and the diversion of vehicles, with one traffic lane closed.

The Limassol District Local Government Organisation informs the public that construction works for the sewerage network and household connections are continuing on Georgiou Kalogeropoulou Street (road towards Fasoula) and Pari Athanasiadi Street, Opalia area in Mesa Geitonia.
Traffic management will be carried out through the operation of a temporary fixed traffic light system.
The public is kindly requested to show the necessary understanding for any inconvenience that may be caused and to comply with the temporary road signage.
The Organisation will make every possible effort to ensure the smoothest possible execution of the works and minimise any inconvenience.

The Contract scope involves the construction of a wastewater sewerage network in the following areas, where technical difficulties had previously prevented the implementation of the network and its immediate connection to the existing sewerage system:
- Mesa Yitonia Area (MG1). The start of the works is scheduled for October.
- Ayios Athanasios Area (AATH1) The works have been completed. The pumping station will be operational once it is powered by EAC.
- Limassol Area (LEM1) The start of the works is scheduled for July 2025.
- Yermasoyia Area (GER1) Construction is in progress. Part of the area will be connected immediately, and the rest will be connected via pumping once the station is powered.
- Loukis Akritas Street in Yermasoyia Area (LAK) Construction completed and connected.
- Griva Digeni Street in Ayios Tychonas Area (AT1) Construction completed. The pumping station will be operational once it is powered by EAC.
- Ilias Kannaourou Street (Kato Polemidia Municipality) (IK) Not constructed. Planning is in progress and depends on the works by the Eastern Limassol Municipality.
- Evrou Street in Ayios Tychonas Area (AT5) Construction completed and connected.
The project includes the construction of:
- ≈13 km of gravity pipelines
- Public inspection manholes
- House connections
- 315 m of pressurised pipelines
- Service to approximately 800 properties
- Service to approximately 5,000 residents
