Announcement 133/ 2026 – Suitability Inspection Form for an Underground Space as a Temporary Shelter – Specifications for the Granting of an Additional 5% Floor Area Ratio (FAR)
The Limassol District Local Government Organisation informs the public and consulting engineers that the Civil Defence, as the competent authority, has determined part of the specifications required for the granting of an additional 5% Floor Area Ratio in developments where an underground space will be constructed and designated for use as a temporary shelter.
It is clarified that the attached form, as well as the specifications contained therein, are currently under review and do not constitute their final version. For the convenience of interested parties, the attached form will be used on a temporary basis. The final version of the form will be published at a later stage, following the finalisation of the relevant specifications by the Civil Defence.
Accordingly, interested parties are advised to take into account that amendments may be made.
The matter is regulated by Order No. 4/2026, paragraph 2.7.
