The Stockholm Junior Water Prize brings together students from different countries every year, giving them the opportunity to present innovative ideas and scientific approaches to water-related problems.
The Stockholm finals take place every year in late August as part of World Water Week in Stockholm, Sweden.
Cyprus has been participating in this international competition for 16 years.
The Water Museum of EOA Limassol is the National Organiser of the competition in Cyprus. Every year, it launches the national competition and encourages students, together with their teachers, to develop an innovative idea that can take them to the international stage of water science.
The National Competition Finals take place in late April. Schools present their projects, and the Jury selects the student team that will represent Cyprus in Stockholm.
Through this competition, the scientists of tomorrow — the young scientists of Cyprus — are given the opportunity to emerge and shine.
